Seller of services warrants their work, but will not guarantee against abuse, or excessive wear and tear by buyer of services. During the period of five years from the date of final delivery of services and final payment for these services, any fault due to defective work or supplied material will be rectified at no cost. Wood, a natural substance, can be affected by extremes of temperature or humidity, and the Guarantee does therefore not cover damage to case or mechanism arising from unreasonable extremes of exposure, neglect, or abuse. Fair wear and tear is also excluded. If client declines to inspect and approve the instrument in the shop before delivery, any modification to suit taste, within the capability of the instrument, will be performed at prevailing rates. Upon acceptance of the piano, there will be no provision for further work to be performed under warranty except as described above. If, after completion of the restoration, the client places the piano in commercial storage for any period of time during the delivery process, this warranty will become void. Any controversy or claim rising out of or relating to this warranty or contract, or the breach of this warranty or contract, shall be settled by arbitration. A judgment of a court having jurisdiction may be entered upon the arbitrator's award.

It is important that regular tuning, voicing, and servicing be done by a technician associated with Music of the Spheres Pianoworks, or a Registered member of the Piano Technicians Guild, Inc., or a technician approved by Music of the Spheres Pianoworks. Work done by an incompetent technician is not rectifiable under the terms of this Guarantee. Warranty begins upon receipt of final payment for services rendered. This warranty, with all of its conditions, is transferable from owner to owner only for the time period stated above.

Tuning, after six months from delivery, is not covered by this Guarantee. However, during the first six months of use of the piano after completed sale of services, seller of services will tune the piano to pitch gratis at periods of within 30 days, at approximately three months, and at six months, since this is period of stabilization of the piano. After this, tuning is not gratis and reverts to a normal service charge basis, and on a mutually agreeable tuning and maintenance schedule (at least biannually). This maintenance schedule is required for the continuation of warranty.
